Fierce Flower Fridays

IMG_4825OMG, people. I walked into Whole Foods this morning, MYOB, when I up and got slapped in the face with a deal so good it would make your cheap ass friend (you know you have one) jump with glee (because it’s free to do that).

Yes, my friends, for TODAY ONLY 10 stem bundles of tulips are 3 for $10! That’s 30 cents a tulip! Can you imagine? You can’t even get a dusty lime for that price! Needless to say, my juices got very exercised by this, and so I bought many many organic tulips. Seriously, it looks like the Netherlands took a dump in my living room.

IMG_4818I went for white and orange tulips this time around, which made them a perfect fit for this rustic chunky vase in blue-green that I got from Crate and Barrel a couple of years ago. I’m a huge fan of Crate and Barrel’s vase collection— they’re each like a little piece of artwork. Plus, they go on sale a lot. Which makes your cheap ass friend happy. So, so happy.

Your cheap ass friend is me. In case you didn’t know. Me, Jeremy, is cheap.IMG_4827Even though Madonna absolutely loathes hydrangeas, which should automatically make me not like them, I can’t help but love them. They last forever and are subtly masculine– just like, well Madonna. Maybe hydrangeas are just too much realness for Madge. IMG_4823IMG_4836So, between the fierce flowers and the even fiercer deal I got today, I am ready to parrrrrrrrrrty into the weekend. Y’all, seriously, if you live anywhere near a Whole Foods go get some tulips TODAY and get your Dutch on.

Happy floristing!
